ConnectAB helps women in Alberta secure employment that aligns with their experience, skills, and credentials.
Who is ConnectAB for?
ConnectAB is designed to enable women who reside in the province of Alberta to secure employment that aligns with their skills and credentials. We are looking for unemployed or underemployed women who have professional skills, experience, or credentials in tech-enabled roles. Newcomers are strongly encouraged to apply.
What do participants get?
Through ConnectAB you'll receive mentorship, connection to a peer group of professional women who work for top employers, and targeted training to help you prepare to land a great role. You'll also be invited to the ConnectAB Summit where you'll hear from inspiring leaders and meet recruiters from top employers in the Alberta tech sector.
How do I participate?
We offer flexible timelines and a blend of online and in-person programming. ConnectAB starts in Fall 2025 and continues through to Spring of 2026. Timelines will vary, depending on when candidates are accepted to the program. To find out more about when you might be able to begin, please apply below and a WCT team member will reach out to determine your eligibility and share relevant dates.
How do I apply?
Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis until March 2026. Scroll down and fill out the form at the bottom of this page to submit your application. A member of WCT's programming team will review your application and follow up to determine your eligibilty within ten business days.
ConnectAB Components
Component One
Pods: WCT's Group Mentorship Program
💻 October 8-November 19, 2025 12 PM - 1 PM (MT) or
💻 April 1-May 13 2026 12 PM - 1 PM (MT)
Pods is WCT's online group mentorship program. You'll join a Pod that includes a mentor and a group of 3-5 peers. In each session, you'll receive resources and insights, then your Pods will share and discuss privately. Each topic helps you gain a better understanding of yourself, your goals, and future plans.
Component Two
Targeted Training

ConnectAB will offer participants training and support to present competitive job applications, excel in interviews, and thrive in new work environments. You'll be referred to one of WCT's expert employment skills training partners, in alignment with your needs and objectives.
Component Three
Live Summit in Calgary

Join WCT and our partners in Calgary for an energizing, live full-day summit where you'll hear keynotes from inspiring leaders, meet fellow ConnectAB participants, and connect directly with talent acquisition representatives from to employers in Alberta.
